Wattens

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens, Tyrol, is a fascinating world of experiences that opened in 1995. Zell am Ziller

The BrauKunstHaus in Zell am Ziller is a unique visitor center that celebrates the art of brewing. It is part of the private brewery Zillertal Bier and offers insights into the history and tradition of brewing in the region. Visitors can experience interactive exhibitions that illustrate the brewing process, from selecting raw materials to the finished beer. A special attraction is the tasting of the various types of beer produced on-site. The BrauKunstHaus combines state-of-the-art technology with traditional craftsmanship and is a must-visit for both beer enthusiasts and those interested in culture.

Hintertuxer Gletscher

The Natural Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier is a fascinating natural attraction in the Zillertal. This unique ice cave, located at around 3,200 meters above sea level, offers visitors an impressive experience. Tux / Zillertal

During the winter season, Pepi's Kinderland at Penkenjoch is the perfect place to take your first steps on skis. A new area has been created for the summer months, right in front of the sun terrace of Granatalm. The absolute highlight is an 8-meter-tall, playable wooden Pepi figure that welcomes the children. This Pepi, once the toy of the Tux Giant, is the heart of the new children's area. Inside the giant Pepi, children will find a varied playground spread over three levels. It features a crawl tube, a playhouse, a funhouse mirror, a climbing wall, and many other attractions. When the children have had enough of playing and climbing, they can slide out of the giant Pepi. Pepi's Kinderland is the perfect destination and offers fun for the whole family.

Kaltenbach / Zillertal

Kabooom in Kaltenbach is a modern leisure and sports center that promises fun and action. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities for all ages. Highlights include the AIRPARC, a bouldering hall, and three bowling alleys. The Zillertal region offers a variety of winter sports activities. After an active day on the slopes, a ski tour, or a snowshoe hike through the snowy landscape, it's perfect to put on ice skates and head to Kabooom's ice rink. In the summer, this outdoor area transforms into a pump track. Whether with mountain bikes, skateboards, or inline skates, fun is guaranteed. While parents keep an eye on their children, they can relax with refreshing drinks from the on-site restaurant.

Mayerhofen / Zillertal

The Erlebnis Sennerei Zillertal with its demonstration farm is an exciting destination for the whole family. Here, visitors can experience firsthand how dairy products are made. In the show dairy, you can see the cheese-making process from fresh milk to the finished cheese. The adjoining demonstration farm provides insights into rural life and showcases various animals such as cows, goats, and chickens. Children can pet and feed the animals. There is also an adventure playground and a farm shop where you can purchase regional products. The Erlebnis Sennerei combines learning with fun and is a must-visit in the Zillertal.

Rohrberg / Zell am Ziller

The Fichtenschloss with Fichtensee in the Zillertal is a magical destination for families and nature lovers. The Fichtenschloss, a large adventure playground, invites children to climb, play, and explore nature. It features towers, suspension bridges, and slides that provide lots of fun. Nearby is Fichtensee, an idyllic mountain lake perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful alpine scenery. The lake is also ideal for swimming and boating. Together, the Fichtenschloss and Fichtensee offer a varied outdoor experience that delights both children and adults.

    JENBACHER MUSEUM

    The Jenbach Museum covers 700 square meters across 19 rooms, showcasing themes with exhibits, photos, and documents on:

    ACHENSEE DAMPF-ZAHNRADBAHN

    The oldest steam-powered rack locomotives in the world, over 117 years old, provide a memorable steam train experience with whistling locomotives, hissing and steaming valves, and pounding exhaust sounds. From Jenbach station, a 45-minute ride with a 16% gradient reaches the Achensee, the largest lake in Tyrol, with direct access to the Achensee shipping service.

    SCHLOSS TRATZBERG

    Built in 1500 high above the Inn Valley between Jenbach and Stans, Tratzberg Castle was used by Emperor Maximilian I and the Fugger family as a hunting lodge. The late Gothic jewel was richly furnished during the Renaissance and has been the residence of the Counts of Enzenberg since 1848. Well-preserved and fully furnished, the castle offers visitors a fascinating "audio tour" (with a fairy-tale version for children) that vividly conveys the history of that time.

    The Krimml Waterfalls, the largest in Europe, are the fifth highest in the world with an impressive height of 380 meters over three stages.     PLANETARIUM SCHWAZ

    Get a bit closer to the sky at the Zeiss Planetarium in Schwaz. Using precision instruments, effect projectors, audio, and video equipment, the events occurring in the cosmos above us are depicted and explained. With constantly changing shows, the Zeiss Planetarium offers a cosmic cinema experience.

    HAUS DER VÖLKER

    The only ethnographic museum in Western Austria showcases over 1,000 exhibits from the collection of Tyrolean Africa expert and photographer Gert Chesi. The majority of the museum is dedicated to Africa and its art and culture; significant Buddha representations and Chinese excavations form the core of the Asian collection.

    SCHWAZER SILBERBERGWERK

    Experience a fascinating adventure underground at the Schwaz Silver Mines. The thrilling journey into the medieval silver past begins with a ride 800 meters deep into the Sigmund Erbstollen, which was opened in 1491. The Schwaz miners had the best mining knowledge of their time, making Schwaz the largest mining metropolis in Central Europe and the second-largest settlement in the Habsburg Empire.

    RATTENBERG

    Nestled along the Inn River, the medieval town of Rattenberg clings to the castle hill. In the carefully restored burgher houses, the nearly 600 inhabitants of Rattenberg live—making it the smallest town in Austria. Rattenberg is also known as the "Glass Town." Here, you'll find everything that gives glass its special beauty: engraved and painted glass, crystal glass, plates, cups, bowls, etc. You can also watch glassblowers at work.

In 14 underground chambers, multimedia artist André Heller created a place of wonder in 1995 to celebrate Swarovski's 100th anniversary. The ever-changing crystal dress of the rooms reflects the innovation and dynamism of the world-leading manufacturer of precision-cut crystals.

    BURG HASEGG MIT MÜNZTURM UND MÜNZMUSEUM

    The Coin Museum Hall – the cradle of the Taler and today's dollar – delves into a past where wealth meant hard cash, money had a magical sheen, and currency was as tough as the material it was minted from. Modern audio guides lead visitors through half a millennium of European coin history.

    WANDERWEG DURCH DIE KUNDLER KLAMM (AUCH FÜR KINDER (KINDERWAGEN) GEEIGNET

    Kundler Klamm is a popular destination for all ages. The wide hiking trail takes you past bizarre and massive rocks, and the streambed is full of stones and various geological rock types. For safety reasons, the gorge is closed on heavy rain days and from mid-November to the end of March. However, you can always hike up to the inn even in winter (with the option to drive if necessary).

    WOLFSKLAMM ST. GEORGENBERG

    It has been over 100 years since the Wolfsklamm in Stans was opened. Thousands of visitors have witnessed this unique natural spectacle, with the Stallenbach providing white foam or emerald green glows in the depths due to its gradient. The bridges and wooden walkways are masterpieces of craftsmanship and lead over 354 meters to Georgenberg, where the Karwendel Alpine Park begins.

    KAISERKLAMM IN BRANDENBERG - LEICHTE WANDERUNG DURCH DIE SCHLUCHT

    A natural spectacle for hikers and a challenge for kayakers and white-water sports enthusiasts. The gorge is closed on heavy rain days and from November to April for safety reasons.

    TIEFENBACHKLAMM - ERLEBNISREICHE WANDERUNG DURCH DIE NATURKLAMM; EIN ERLEBNIS FÜR KINDER

    The Tiefenbachklamm between Kramsach and Brandenberg is a unique nature experience. In a pleasant hour of walking, you can explore the Triftsteig trail and visit the Jausenstation Tiefenbachklamm or Jausenstation Stegerstall for a rest.

    With over 2000 animals from 150 species across the Alpine region, the Alpine Zoo invites you to an enriching visit in Europe's highest zoo. Both young and old feel at home in the Alpine Zoo: The goldcrest, weighing just 5 grams, is a true lightweight, while the bearded vulture, with a wingspan of 3 meters, is the largest bird in the Alps.
